The Gospel (Alone!) Fixes Everything

. . . because it gives us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ (2 Cor 4:6). The Gospel is the power of God to save including salvation’s aspects of sanctification.

One of the elder’s wives in our church recommended this sermon to me. (Thanks Di)

“Seeing and Savoring the Supremacy of Christ in All Things”

[from Desiring God]

Earlier this year 45,000 college students gathered in Atlanta for Passion 2012. John Piper gave a message with one point: Seeing and savoring the supremacy of Jesus Christ frees you from the slavery of sin for the sacrifices of love.

He unpacks this point by answering four questions: 1) what is seeing and savoring?; 2) what is the supremacy of Christ?; 3) what is freedom from slavery to sin?; and 4) what is freedom for the sacrifices of love?
