David Powlison on Holiness

Oftentimes when thinking about holiness I think of self-discipline and self-improvement, much in the same way I think about getting in shape through physical exercise. Push hard, work hard, sweat, strain, push toward the goal . . .

But, according to the apostle Paul, “the goal of our instruction is love“. Holiness is so much more than mere personal growth. David Powlison has some great insights about holiness in the context of the Body of Christ, in the context of your local church.
